If someone really wants to turbo a flathead Dodge, I honestly think the 251 or 265 would be a more reliable motor due to the straight rods in it vs the offset rods in the 202/217/230.

I mentioned the rods in a post below, but I really think the 251 family is better designed and would have less of a tendency to spin a bearing from the loads put on it by turbo/supercharging. Going further, I would also consider having a machine shop pin the bearings in the rod, as well doing a balance on the engine.

I would like to mention one thing more about blow through vs suck through. You can put a wastegate on a blow through application. This can be set at, say, 8 lbs boost. You can configure the turbo to come to 8 boost at, say, 2200 rpm and the waste gate will dump any pressure above that. That will make a wider power band and not be as peaky. A suck through is pulling fuel and if wastegated it will discharge an air/fuel mixture. This is a blowtorch waiting to happen.
