I have brought up the subject before but had no real knowledgable response.I did have a very interesting conversation with the folks at the diesel machine & parts shop the other day while picking up injector parts for my tractor. The fellow briefly explained some funtamentals of the turbo. From what I gather a good deal of knowledge goes into figuring a setup for each application. I just assumed since both the diesel and L-head were both low rpm engines it should be fairly simple but many factors must be added into the equation, one being the the max.combustion chamber pressure and the safe rpm range which will ultimately be controlled by the turbo size and"waste gate".
I'm not claiming to know anything but I did pickup enough to know it is possible but would cost some to have the specs figured and the system designed, that is unless someone out there knows more than their letting on ?
