'77 M880 FRONT SUSPENSION

My truck has the Dana 44 full time 4wd. The leaf springs look grossly under sized. The rear leafs are massive with an even more massive overload pack. What gives with the front leaves. Mine are getting to be sway-backed. What are, or should be, the typical number of leaves for the front, any good place to get some replacements or has anyone used an extra helper spring/leaf? Is there anything in the junkyards that would be better?

Also, is there a kit to take the full-time 4wd to manual lock-in hubs. How hard to find a Dana 60 for this model? Would it be worth it?
