I've got two of the badly-scalloped former front tires on the rear already, but the manager of the tour doesn't even like that. She got a pretty big scare last summer when one of the rapidly-balding front tires blew out on a tour. Fortunately the rig has power steering and the driver kept it on the road, but I haven't been able to convince her that a scalloped tire is okay in the rear (still legal tread left) and that a blowout on a rear with duallies is no big deal.
