Ah, yes, "Soldier 1" and "Soldier 2" and half a dozen special tools identified by ordnance number that can quickly be requisitioned. What they didn't have in the army in 1952 were bolts that had been rusting for 60 years. I should at least bring the TM with me.

I wonder how to tell if an old engine from my bone yard is good or not, without pulling the pan and/or head. A test stand would be great, but maybe it's just as easy to set in in the chassis, hook up the minimum stuff and see if it runs.
