No, not equipped with locking hubs. I did back it a couple of times to try and disengage anything stuck. No change.

I recall reading about someone having trouble with a shifter or transfer case that had a somewhat difficult-to-access spring loaded ball bearing assembly. What was all that about, I can't recall? I thought they were complaining about the transfer case becoming disengaged.

I hadn't considered that the front differential would turn the driveshaft. Is that because there are no locking hubs?

I could also put the truck up on four jackstands and play with it there without any load on the drive train, and see what it does.

It bothers me that Neutral doesn't seem to disengage anything.
