Figuring it had to be the float setting, I took the top off the carb. The spring clip that keeps the float down was tweaked in the channel and the float plate wasn't close to the needle. I adjusted the plate what seemed like a reasonable amount and got it to fire up. Smoked like the Dickens. Adjusted the idle speed and mixture. Ran it long enough to dump some No Smoke in the crankcase. We shall see...
