I e-mailed him about buying some parts before he "closed up shop" and his reply was that he was not closing down the business but he would not be able to ship parts with any frequency due to being out of the country more.
Either way I bought the parts now while I knew I could get it. Sounds like getting stuff will be very sporadic from here on out.
