Dave, I've used the bardahls engine treatment, what you describe is probably stuck or sticky rings. the bardahls is a very thin product, that works very well! the old parifein based oils were notorious for this, and the bardahls was designed to rememdy the sticky rings and valves and lifters. good luck, Dave.
