I run Kubotas on an almost-daily basis and they perform very well for what they are. You won't get the smoothness and refinement of the more "professional" machines like Cat, JD or Komatsu, but superior operating skills will more than make up for the slightly inferior equipment.
On the other hand, superior equipment will not make up for inferior operating skills. The Kubota should suit you unless you plan to work very, very hard. Deep trenches, hard rock, long hours, and minimal maintenence will harm a Kubota more than other machines.
