OT but patriotic

looking for some guidance on installing a flagpole. house is a ranch so figure 10' from grade to top of first floor & 8 more feet to roof ridge. looking for a flagpole in the 20-25-30 foot range. since we want to use it and teach our sons a but about flag use, etc., we want it close to the house. we have been told that a fiberglass unit will not attract lightening, but a aluminum will need to be grounded. true about the fiberglass? also, there is an option to put a rotating truck (that's what they call the rotating pivot) that lights the flag at night. would running 12v or 110 wire inside a fiberglass flagpole attract lightening? Thanks!!
