It seems my last post was taken a little out of context with implication that I would disavow the rules and regulations. I am well aware of the hoops as I am quite involved in numerous environmental issues in AK having to do with water quality in our rivers and conservation of our watersheds on the Kenai Peninsula.
I have also been an AK resident for 15 years (Fairbanks, Ketchikan and the last 10 years in Soldotna) and visited frequently before moving here. I will retire and die here.
While I'm not an Alaskan pioneer (typically considered to be someone that has been here for at least 50 years) I've spent considerable time in remote villages off the road system and have hunted and fished across the state from Deadhorse to Prince of Wales Island.
If I pursue this idea, it will be within the law and regs.
