Thats a Bendix Weiss axle Joint. It was used on some WC's. I prefer it to the Tracta joint and use it (Bendix Weiss) on my Power Wagon and Carryall. Bendix Weiss and Repazzda use the Balls to transmit the power and allow articulation.

The first thing you will notice when driving a Bendix Weiss axle is that when steering hard to lock either way, you dont get that binding/hop like in a Tracta. In 'my' opinon, and others, it is also a much stronger axle joint.

Besides use in my FFPW and Carryall, I have a complete set of NOS spares......just in case ha ha ha.
