The input needs a support, like the pilot bearing. Which also supports the output. So you need an extension housing for said bearing.

Then you need to attach a drive yoke. The shaft is hardened, you ainna gunna use a Sears die to thread it for the nut. Design in some kind of sealing too. Then account for the length- you will want a slip joint, or two. Looks like the overall length will be about 40".

Better to make it all 'married' to your trans or t/c, or both. No need for u-jts or slip joints that way. But adapters, and still need a support bearing some where.
