If you are using a Delco Alternator and you have a 'R' terminal on the rear of the alternator, your all set for tach. The R terminal is alternator tach drive. I also have one truck using the Tach Mike mentions.
My Carryall has the Tiny Tach under the hood for service. Its nice, works well but has to small a display to see easily while driving.
