OK, changed the oil last weekend & while the oil looked about full on the dipstick what I got out of it was about 8 qts. of a somewhat gray color oil that came out at a high rate of speed (thin viscosity),even though the engine was cold & it had a strong smell of gas. This truck ('66 WM300),had sat a great deal and was only started intermittently x several years before I bought it 6 weeks ago of so & I have driven it less than a 1/4 mile. Now with the new oil I also have that gray color(not milky like water in the oil) & again a strong smell of gas. I have only started it a few times, admittedly with some difficulty, just not used to the choke requirements yet. All that being said, when I get it started it runs great. Any reason to think this is anything more than my inexperience with this choke & starting routine? I had a M422 that had a bad fuel pump that dumped directly into the crankcase & required a rebuild.

Thanks in advance.
