Hope all are safe at home from the rally.

I am minus one truck.

96 f-350 7.3 turbo diesel, 5 spd trans, 150,000 miles on it.

All was fine as I drove to the rally until, I jamb the gears or did not hit the clutch fast enough while towing the PW. Lot of weight. Heard noise immeadiately. A little extra push to get the stick in gears. Got to the rally 25 plus miles away.

Drove her a little around town. Same symtoms. noise, little extra to get her in gear.

The next day, she does not want to move with the stick in gear positions, but moved with the stick in NEUTRAL!!! Stalls if I let the clutch out while the stick is in neutral or any other position.

Before this issue, there is a hum at 65 MPH but I think that is coming from the front wheels. Haven't found it yet. No hum at 60mph or below.

I am assuming the tranny is coming down. At that point, a complete rebuild is ussualy worth it since it is out.

Other than that, great rally and the old iron is far more dependable.

Thank for any helpful thoughts.

Time to go to work in NYC.
