I can't imagine getting more power out of a Flathead than a Slant 6, especially with all the mods that can be done to a slant 6. An Offy bolt on 4bbl manifold and Holley 390cfm and headers for starters. Might get 20mpg with a slant and flatheads are what 10mpg? There was a slant 6 in the export PWs with firewall mounted dual master cylinder. Might be easier than hacking the frame however. V8 swap is better anyway. G
