I've got this older Airco 300 amp beast of a welder, ac, dc, heliwelder. It has always worked fine. Today I went to weld something , turned it on and nothing. There is power to the machine, the fan runs, lights work but no juice coming out. I played with all the switches to make sure it was in all the right settings and nothing. I pulled the top cover and looked around for obvious rodent damage or coroded connections and found nothing. Anybody have a similar thing happen to their machine? I know it's old, a 1972 and I've heard the selenium rectifiers go eventually, but why won't AC work? Any ideas?
