What is now my green five window had a fresh engine too.
If the current project needed an engine, I think I would have torn in to the V8 6.3L GM diesel that is under the tarp.
So, not much investment needed in my engine. Big question is should I build a woody, or restore it as a pickup? If I go woody, I want to build a square tube frame and attach the wood. I'd buy a set of rollers to make it all curvey, like Steve Simmon's, only more so. Panels would be compound curves, laid up as layers of veneer, ala West System boat building. Window tracks and such would be the PITA, and I think it would need to be a 4-door. Otherwise it would be a panel truck? .
