The only spring I found was 3" long. Too much preload for one thumb. So I had to r&r the knob, cut off two coils, try again- r&r, two more coils, r&r one last coil.
It's re-installed to the trany now. Makes a wonderful CLICK CLICK CLICK.
Too bad that while I was at the spring store, I forgot I need the several small ones for the parking brake band. I already picked up a hugemongous one to go on the J-bolt. I sure like that later model upgrade, lets you really clamp to the last available notch, rather than being less thn tight in the previuos notch. M37? M715 mod? I guess I'll go dig out the sample springs, I'll get the PB hooked up today.
