Take it out the truck, the pin is tempered and fits fairly tight. Mark one side of the button and rod so you can place the button on the correct side to line up the pin hole. Most are off centered. If the rachet teeth are shot, get a kit. DON'T TRY AND BEND THE ROD TO MATCH THE ARM. When feeding the rod through the arm and you get to the guide hole in the top part of the handle, use an ice pick pressed against the end of the rod to guide it through the hole. Once through, you're home free.
