This WDX is typical of many Power Wagon's that were rebuilt to meet someone's specific needs.

There's a bit more at "Re: Paul - thats a strange looking WDX - Paul Cook in Kempner, Texas 14:13:25 07/28/2011"

I'm still gathering info... The original cab was described as "open" but I have not had a chance to take a reference book with me to see if the "open" cab was a field modification or if the truck was originally a "chassis cab" or a "chassis cowl" model (reported as available in 1949 by Don Bunn in the 1999 Crestline publication "DODGE TRUCKS").

Aparrently the cab change was not done because of a minor accident as stated by the seller. The WDX was rebuilt into a hay truck. The cab and front sheet metal and cargo bed were as has been described. An ofset hitch mount was added to the left side of the bed to tow a square hay bale loader that loaded bales into the truck bed and into a four wheel hay wagon that was towed behind the WDX.

I guess it's time for a build card.
