Seems like I have never heard anyone mentioning having problems with the fuel bowl drying out and I am sure plenty of truck around here sit for days at a time. I am kind of wondering if my pump is a little weak and I am noticing it more because the pump takes so long to refill. Maybe the carb (holley 1940 if I recall) is sensitive to low bowl levels and the bowl is not completely dry. I am not real experienced with carbs but I am dedicated keeping the mechanical pump. ( an electric pump would solve the problem ) I will test the pump tommorow.
