You just got three different answers below. All are correct - to some extent. You may want to save yourself the trouble and the confusion of reading years worth of conflicting information in the archives. As said below, everyone has an opinion on these filters.

I have used NAPA 1011 filters for 30 years and never encountered a problem with one being too tight until this spring ( all along in 4 different trucks, all with DeLuxe Clear Oil filter systems). I then tried a Baldwin JC-405, and it fit almost perfect (like the NAPA 1011's did 25 years ago). The Baldwin is still being produced and is readily available.

It would not hurt to try one from Vintage Power Wagons in support our major supplier. They buy NOS, surplus, and newly manufactured filters from where ever the right quantities and prices happen to be found. You may get a Baldwin, WIX, International Harvester, MoPar, or whatever from them. If the one you get fits, you might just be money ahead. If it does not fit, you may be unwrapping the cotton exterior and pulling out stuffing to make it smaller.

To my knowledge, Wix (NAPA 1011) filters are still manufactured by three different vendor companies that supply Wix. If they are ever going to coordinate their efforts and retool to the correct, but now somehow lost, dimensions, you probably will not see the results on the shelf for some time.

It takes a little over 5 quarts of oil to fill my trucks with 230 engines and the DeLuxe Clear Oil filters. I have always used Pennzoil 10W40 with good results. Again, this opens another can of worms. Some would say I am crazy for using that brand.
