engine rebuild is not a DIY
I am having a "valve job" done on our 48
(sucked a valve up past the keepers)
Scott (retired but does mobile repair) is
doing the tear down / reassembly
Randy from Deekers Machine shop (engine builders) ground the valves and will come out
tomorrow to do the seats he already reamed
the new guides and machined the manifolds
head was fine.
you need to find a shop that works on old engines as they would have the tools required
