There's nothing wrong with the E58 head. The 89-92 LA heads are the swirlport heads and they are a little better performance wise, but if your E58s are good, leave them on there. As for 308 ID, thats the last 3 digits of the casting number. It's under the valve covers and rockers and/or under the head.
