My sister works for a subcontractor for NASA
She's working on Orion, the next generation of space travel. It's gonna be to go to the moon and mars.Lifting From the earth to orbit will now, already has, become a commercial enterprise. Go to spacex.com and you'll see it's already happening, a lot more cost effectively than uncle sam can do it.
Space shuttle was cool but never really was cost effective.
