I got a new one from VPW 2 weeks ago. My original would slap shut while driving and blow the head gasket. It took a few gaskets before I figured what was causing the head gaskets to blow, it would blow between different cylinders. I broke the damper out and the problem was solved. I'm now restoring the truck and replaced the old one.
