tranny leak and oil filter

just kinda curious but where is the oil sending unit located at and need to know if the 318 and 360 use the same oil filter i need to know wwhy my tranny is leaking tranny fluid from the dipstick tube it shifts reallly fast but i dont have the kick down cable hooked up yet
