the bolts that hold the brackets to the xcase are 1/2-13 UNC x 1" long. These bolts should have the heads drilled thru for the locking wire to retain them. ( or use loctite) It is easier to mount the brackets to the xcase then hoist into place as one set of bolts is very hard to get at. The lock wire would be extremely difficult to do after the xcase is in place.
