We have already used us a great deal of our petroleum in this country. The US imports more than 60% of our petroleum at a cost of over $1 billion dollars a day. That is $700,000 every minute we are sending oversees that we could be using to make this country a better place.
Petroleum has changed the way we live, that's for sure. We have to find a renewable replacement that we can produce in this country. We can't keep importing stuff and transferring wealth and power to other countries. We need to bring manufacturing jobs back to America, and we need to manufacture products that really matter. Nothing matters more than energy.
