metric (i think) plumbing question

i bought a surplus water bladder from colemans. it holds 20l of potable water and has a push button spigot. it is black and will be perfect to hang on the boat for a warm water shower. i want to find a female threaded fitting to replace the orig push button cap. where can i find plastic or brass threaded fittings? the inner part of the male threaded part is approx 30mm and the outside diameter of a pvc union is 34mm approx. i could turn down the fitting and glue it in, but i don't have a lathe. any thoughts? i want to install a garden hose type of valve. thanks!!!
