My "good" tool box that I've been using for 20 years is about shot. I thought it would be easy to find a new one just like it, but I haven't had any luck. The catch is that this one has two drawers that pull out from the front, and then you can also open the top and put stuff in a shallow top tray. All the hand-carryable tool boxes I see these days have a top that opens, one lift-out tray in the top, and then everything else goes underneath it. I like the sliding trays way better for keeping things organized and only one layer deep. On the kind without drawers, everything ends up in a heap, and the only way to find stuff that might have worked its way to the bottom is to take out everything on top of it.

I looked at all the cheap tool places, and then I looked at the more expensive industrial supply places. I even looked at the high-end name brand places. Nobody seems to make a tool box small enough for a one-hand carry, that has drawers that slide out from the front of it. I also don't want any sort of plastic box. I have a few for light stuff, but they always warp, break, and fall apart.
