I have a friend with a windmill turbine for electricity on his place. He said your best bet is to just break even (or close enough) at the end of each month, try to keep it around that zero balance, or owe just a wee-bit. Selling it back to the power company by producing more, doesn't ever seem to be in the best interest of the customer.
