this guy is local to me on long island, but rebuilds both water and fuel pumps. i have been happy with his work and i sent the dodge boys there with good results. i believe that his rebuild of a known waterpump (yours) would be of better quality than a new (may be a close fit) built in china replacement. sometimes the new replacements need a fan spacer, longer bolt, difft back plate, pulley, etc. i have seen a new style waterpump modified to take a dummy grease fitting and i am pretty sure the old castings can take new seal internals.

i just want a pump that works quietly for a long time but, i digress

purists are out there... waiting to critique you at the local drive in.... and then leave in their honda...

my belief that the supply of parts for the 230 is dwindling. developing resources than can properly keep you on the road will help in the long run. i have both a rebuilt waterpump and a good fuel pump core on my shelf. i also have a 1/2 dozen filters and oil at the ready. never know when you want to do an oil change!
