My father told me that the firepower engines were tank engines left over from world war II, I don't know, I've never seen any thing to back up what pop said, but I wasn't there, and he was! He worked on some of the equipment so there might be some basis for it. I do know that there was some twin straight 8 chryslers used, and some caddy motors for the little shermans. so it might be possible that it something that the war ending might have affected, don't know????
