I see they put distributors at the front, and it looks like an entirely different distributor than either the military or civilian ones that we're used to. It looks like it has civilian spark plugs.

The articles didn't mention anything about the oil pump, but the standard pump setup wouldn't do any good. I'm wondering if the device at the bottom right in the picture is the oil pump for the whole contraption. There's some extra device to the right of the over-sized oil filter that clearly has something to do with the oil, but it wouldn't be a pump mounted on top like that.

The articles say they had separate carburetors (not installed in this photo), o that means there would have to be elbows on the intakes of 4 of the blocks in order to keep the carbs level. It looks like the manifolds are custom and are pretty tight, which probably hurt the power output.
