Rolled in today. Wow what a bunch of fun we both remarked that it was over too soon.
Some highlights.
4690 miles
313.8 gal of gas
One intake ex gasket
One throwout bearing
One carb disassemble and clean
One fuel filter
Made friends at the Power Wagon rally. We stopped at a car show in Salmon Idaho on Saturday to hang out and pull the carburetor. My wife was the first to say these people are unfriendly here. She was right and I told her she should go to the Rally next year to appreciate the difference.

Learned it is much more fun to drive an old truck cross country than it is to work on one.
Never saw another townie on the road anywhere except in Fairfield.
Comments were everywhere along the way from what year is it to we used to have a fleet of those things. People would pass us with cameras hanging out of the windows.
Things I would change.
Larger fuel tank
Sway bar on the front
Overdrive transmission
Sleeping area in back so we don't have to cut open some Bison to live in when there are no motels.
Our German Shepard held up well and never got too far from his rolling home.
