Ok I am trying to fire up my hot rod .
Been sitting for 11 years .
Slant six electronic ignition from a 72 ? Ran when parked . I made a few changes - trannie - 160 amp alternator - and had to move some wiring . The old electronic ignition modual was leaking the goo out of the back so I changed that too , also has a mini starter added .
The vehicle will crank , even backfired through the carb , my timing light shows no spark .
So i am going to need to trace through the whole wiring system and check parts too .
How do I check the coil ?
How do I check the ballist resistor ?
How do I check the control module .
Any electrical doomaflunkies in the distributor that I need to check ?
I will start to go through my manuals but any links or advice would be appreciated . I am a bit tired of working on stuff . Even more tired of trying to push the car back on the hoist .
