I think a lot of people have bought into that scam where they drop-ship stuff that they don't own. It was a get-rich-quick scheme that was being promoted all over the radio a year or so ago with a pitch that went something like "Make big money taking orders for products you never buy, store, or own..." I've bought a couple of Milwaukee and other name-brand tools from outfits that had the cheapest price out there, but it takes months to get the product and when I get it it's been sent by some completely different company than I bought it from.

With most of that "accessory" garbage you'll find a dozen sellers selling the same thing. I'm not sure it's exactly a rip-off, if you happen to want the thing, but look real close at their feedback and don't buy it it isn't excellent. I agree with the other tips for filtering out the garbage. In the search box, the "-" sign is your best friend. You'll notice right away after you do a search that there is some key word that it's part of the description of most of the garbage. Just re-do the search with that word and a "-" in front of it and after a couple of iterations, you'll be rid of most of the garbage.

The problem I have with reducing the amount of garbage by clicking on the category is that often the legitimate sellers don't put their parts in the right category, or not in the category I would think they'd be in. I'd rather keep the category search as broad as possible (especially because mis-categorized parts are likely to go cheap), and use the "-" to eliminate the blingy junk.
