1942? WC closed cab 1 ton. This may have been a telephone truck or some other variant originally. Has 2 speed transfer case w/ centered rear axle. Does not have the original cab but I new this truck when it did. The previous owner dropped a tree on the cab making replacement necessary. Has MU4? winch that was the new twin to the one in my ambulance. Has the engine and transmission from the ambulance installed. Body is rough. Was last run in about 1997.
The engine is still free – turns by hand. There are 2 good front fenders and another transfer case laying in the back of it. The cab is not the greatest but has the Deluxe heater with control panel below the right of dash. The tires are actually pretty good having been put on new shortly before it was parked. The right door is solid but the left has some rust at the bottom. Windshield frame appears to be OK. The original cab that was on this was definitely military as it had all round military gauges and I remember looking at the ID plates on the glove box door. Unfortunately the door didn’t get transferred when the cab was changed.
