I got a frantic phone call from a friend on the weekend.He bought a truck with a 440 that had been rebuilt recently,when he picked the truck up he trailered it home.When he got it home he noticed the smell of gas in the oil.He thought he would warm it up to change oil.After changing oil the idiot light for oil stayed on,panic time.Pressure unit was changed,no change.An oil pressureguage was hooked up and no pressure,the long and short of it is the oil pump shaft is okay,but the the oil filter never filled up.Does this sound like the relief valve hung up inside the oil pump? Sorry for a long post. Thanks Wayne
