We're not supposed to get tornados

Tornados blew through Massachusetts yesterday, that never happens around here. We are in good shape, just a lot of thunderstorms. Scariest part was talking to my youngest daughter who was on her way home from school. She was in a hail storm about 5 miles from home, telling me it was only a tornado "warning". When I told her we were watching TV footage of a tornado about 25 miles west of us, the phone went silent. Lots of destruction to our west.
