I had a panel light switch and knob in the truck when i got it. Today I thought id take the knob apart to see how it face is put in so i could repaint the letters and possibly the face.
Much to my surprise, the face is a red lens. as if there is a bulb behind it....
I thought the faces were all opaque black?
Oh, and by the way, takin them apart totally destroys the retainer ring, unless someone else knows a better way
