not trying to rain on your parade, just being practical. if someone has a quickie fix for you, i'd be happy to learn it. when trannies and transfer cases start popping out of gear, they are usually worn or some internal problem is presenting itself. since it is a big heavy bastard to remove and install, it is not practical to remove it and not go through it right the first time. besides changing the seals, you can't do much with it in place.
when my transfer case starting acting up, i installed a government rebuild that cost $250. that was the best option available to me and made more sense then rebuilding what i had.
