I have seen the Californians take a few different positions when they move up here to Idaho. The majority are like you were, they have seen enough redundant bureaucracy and want no more of it and are more anti than we are because they have delt first hand with the bumbling red tape parasites.
Then there are the Californians like the ones that bought the Helmer cafe and wouldn't serve me because I was open carrying my side arm. Or the ones that try to stop the rock crushers in the local quarry because they have their house built and driveway in and don't want any more development.
