"reverse rotation"- how to tell?

Mid 70s Dodge 4x4, saginaw, fersure. But some are the wrong rotation. How can I tell the difference, without getting vertigo from spinning one hand while imitating a swinging pitman arm with the other? Last one I bought was the wrong rotation after all, had to swap guts.

So, Pittman arm to front? to rear? Or steering arm direct to l/f knuckle? not? or drag link to right front, in front of axle? behind?
