I did it on the 46 with out jacking up the frame, removing the drive shaft or anything. You will need to remove the bellhouisng cover though. the front of the pan is tricky to get off and out, as well as in and on.
I used the 4 piece felpro gasket on both trucks, and a tube Mega Black Gasket stuff.
