you get what you pay for. Have a world class restoration, it better go enclosed. have a rust free resto candidate on the west coast going east, find a good deal from a reputable guy with power wagon or old tractor board references. want to use a load board, website, OK as long as your life wont end if something happens.
either way, hire someone with a DOT number and checkable references. there is no way a hauler should be able to carry a PW on a trailer and be under weight. if a guy has a rig without a number, he is not a professional carrier and likely does not have the proper insurance to cover a potential loss.
the value of your truck plays a big role in how much to spend and how much to expect.
